Stereolab Picture
Stereolab is a UK-based band whose style, mixing 1950s-1960s pop and loungemusic with the "motorik" beat of krautrock, was one of the first to which the term " post-rock" was applied. They are noted for the use of vintage keyboard instruments like Moog synthesizers and Vox and Farfisa organs. Stereolab is also notable for founding their own record label, Duophonic Records, with a grant from UK charity The Prince's Trust. The band is often referred to as "The Groop" by their fans (and in the title of their song "The Groop Play Chord X" on the album Space Age Bachelor Pad Music). They were founded in 1990 by songwriters (guitar, keyboards), formerly of the band McCarthy, and Laetitia Sadier(sometimes credited as Seaya Sadier; vocals, keyboards, trombone, guitar), who is from franceand sings in both English and French.

Stereolab

Il faut tre toujours ivre. tout est l : cest lunique question. pour ne pas sentir lhorrible fardeau du temps qui brise vos paules et vous penche vers la terre, il faut vous enivrer sans

And the translation:
Get drunk!
One should always be drunk. thats all that matters: thats our one imperative need. so as not to feel times horrible burden that breaks your shoulders and bows you down, you must get drunk wit
Ceasing. but what with? with wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you choose. but get drunk. and if, at some time, on the steps of a palace, in the green grass of a ditch, in the bleak solitude
Our room, you are waking up when drunkeness has already abated, ask the wind, the wave, a star, the clock, all that which flees, all that which groans, all that which rolls, all that which sings
That which speaks, ask them what time it is; and the wind, the wave, the star, the bird, the clock will reply: it is time to get drunk! so that you may not be the martyred slaves of time,
Drunk, get drunk, and never pause for rest! with wine, with poetry, or with vitrtue, as you choose!
